The Federal Council of Justice (CJF) has opened registrations for the course on Racial Equity Statements of the CJF, aimed at the ongoing training of magistrates and judicial servers. The training will take place in the modality of Distance Learning (EaD), starting on April 16th and ending on April 30th.

With a total workload of 12 hours and 50 places available, the course requires a minimum attendance of 75% and it has as its central objective the practical application of racial equity statements in the judicial routine.

The link for registration is available on the website of Enfam, with a deadline of April 11th.

The pedagogical proposal is based on the recognition that the Brazilian Justice System faces the challenge of combating structural racism, present both in society and institutions.

What will be addressed?

The programmatic content includes topics such as Judicial Policies of Racial Equity, Freedom of Belief, Protection of Quilombola Communities, Labor Relations, Civil and Criminal Responsibility, Algorithmic Racism and Affirmative Action. The approach is interdisciplinary and it includes interactive educational technologies such as videos, case studies and activities with digital resources.

The training also incorporates testimonies from social actors directly affected by the themes, as well as international documents, with the aim of broadening the critical understanding of the participants and contributing to a more sensitive judicial practice to racial inequalities.

In addition to magistrates, the course highlights the importance of the participation of civil servers, considered fundamental for the implementation of guidelines in the routine of judicial bodies. Joint action strengthens an institutional culture aligned with the promotion of racial equity.

Among the expected competencies are the ability to identify and correct racial biases in judicial proceedings, apply qualified precedents and implement justice policies aimed at equality. At the end of the training, participants are expected to be able to integrate these principles into professional practice and contribute to a fairer and more inclusive Justice.
