The Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) holds, on Monday (March 23rd), the exhibition on "Talents that Transform", in allusion to the International Day of the Down Syndrome, celebrated on March 21st. The action, which takes place in a single edition from 12 to 6 pm at Inovassol Space, located in the building of the Court of Justice, is open to the public.

The exhibition brings together pieces produced by students and students of the Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional (APAE) of the city of Palmas, as well as canvas by the Plastic Artist Ana Paula Fanhani, who participates with independent production. Among the works, the public can view crafts, engravings and paintings, all available for sale.

More than an exhibition, the initiative values creative potential, encourages the autonomy of authors and broadens the visibility of artistic production developed by people with disabilities.

Day of the Down Syndrome

The date of March 21st was chosen by the Down Syndrome International organization in reference to trisomy of chromosome 21, a genetic characteristic associated with the syndrome. Officialized by the United Nations (UN), the date invites reflection on inclusion, respect for differences and combating stigma.

Promoted by the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, through the Permanent Commission on Accessibility and Inclusion (CPAI), chaired by Justice Angela Haonat, the action reinforces the institutional policy of inclusion, aimed at guaranteeing rights and equal opportunities.
